Latine feels like the better version of Latinx tbh. People seem to (try) to use it. You can actually say Latine out loud in a Spanish sentence without it sounding super out of place. Then again, most of the Spanish I know comes from amatuer Argentinian cosplay porn, various YTPMV and weirdo South American podcasts, so I'm not really a linguistic authority on this sorta thing. It'd be cool of google didn't try to auto-correct Latine, though. I get it doesn't have the institutional backing of the eternal anglo world, but it'd be cool if it did. Language is at its best when it evolves on its own. Latinx feels like a test tube baby. Its frail, cooked up in a lab, skin wasn't ready for the real world. Plus, everyone has their own way of saying "lah tiiiinx" too lol. Like, people should probably know how to say your new word if you're spamming it like a forced meme. The real question is: who's gonna replace all of those Latinx on American paperwork with Latine? (...inb4 Latin)
Idk, I'll probably continue saying Latino and Latina around my wife's family to avoid making shit weird. If people are looking for a non-gendered way to say stuff while speaking Spanish, I'd use the -e version of words.
